We have two press releases about our appearance on Shark Tank. The first is a general press release about the airing with some product details. The second is more focused on the "young entrepreuer" angle.

Press Release #1

For Immediate Release

New fishing product will be featured on Shark Tank this Friday.

17 year old Jack Danos and his father Jeff, will be featured on ABC’s “Shark Tank” this Friday September 30 at 8:00 PM CST. The father-son team invented an electronic fish attractor called the TactiBite Fish Call. In a very short period of time, this new product has gained quite a bit of attention with a very successful KickStarter campaign, and now an appearance on Shark Tank. The product is available for sale from their website, www.TheFishCall.com, and also at select retail outlets.

The TactiBite Fish Call works by emitting sounds and vibrations that attract nearby fish. It’s about the size of a mini football and floats on the surface of the water. It is held in place by an anchor that has a nifty way of clipping into the base of the unit for easy storage. To make the product versatile across many fish species as well as varying conditions, it has multiple sounds built in as well as volume controls. Fishermen use it by selecting the appropriate sound for the type of fish they’re targeting and adjusting the volume level based on the conditions and environment they’re fishing in.

According to their website, www.TheFishCall.com, the device attracts many types of game fish in both freshwater and saltwater. These include Red Fish, Trout, Bass, Drum, Crappie, Flounder, Striped Bass, Catfish, Snook, Yellowtail, SheepsHead, Calico Bass, Blue Gill and many others. There are also several video of the product in action, as well as instructional videos on their website.

It will be interesting to see how young Jack handles the fierce questioning and potential ridicules that the 5 sharks will certainly dish out. If you’ve watched any of the past episodes, you know that the sharks can be ruthless if any holes are found in a presenter’s business model or plan.

Press Release #2

17 year old Jack Danos and his father Jeff, will be featured on ABC’s “Shark Tank” this Friday September 30 at 8:00 PM CST. The father-son team invented an electronic fish attractor called the TactiBite Fish Call. Jack taught himself how to build prototypes using his 3D printer, then went on to have the product manufactured. Jack has also built the website and handles all of the social media marketing, video editing, graphics design, as well as many other aspects of getting this young start-up company on its feet.

The product first hit the market on the crowdfunding site KickStarter.com, where their goal was $10,000, but they raised over $112,000. It appears that the producers of ABC’s Shark Tank also took notice of their success as they will be airing on Shark Tank this Friday night.

If his KickStarter performance is any indication, he’s a young man that has his act together. It will be interesting to see how he does and whether or not his device that’s designed for attracting fish also attracts sharks.
